Yes is a celebration of the life and work of passionate and political poet Adrian Mitchell. Devised and presented by Wonderful Beast Theatre Company, of which Adrian Mitchell was a founding member, this specially created programme of his poems and songs was commissioned by The Poetry Trust and premiered to a sell-out audience at the 2009 Aldeburgh Poetry Festival. The multi-talented cast includes Adrian’s wife, actor Celia Hewitt, daughter, actor/singer Sasha Mitchell, Sylvester McCoy (ex Doctor Who and unrivalled player of the spoons), dancer Anusha Subramanyam, Matt Prendergast, Annie Firbank, Sylvia Hallett, Max Hallett, Miguel Tantos and RR Prathap. A triumphant, anarchic synthesis of words, jazz and rock’n’roll.
